From the Kitchen Line to the Coffee Aisle
Hey, I’m Daniel—though most people just call me Dan. I’m the guy behind Find My Home Brew—a personal passion project turned digital soapbox for all things coffee. But I didn’t get here by way of influencer trends or brand deals. I got here the long way: through decades in the food world, thousands of hours on my feet, and more cups of coffee than I can count.
I started working in restaurants when I was a kid—by my twenties, I owned my own. Coffee wasn’t a “thing” back then. It was just… coffee. Black. Hot. Served in a paper cup with a diner breakfast or downed by the pot in the back of the house during a 16-hour shift. You didn’t talk about notes of citrus. You drank it, got back to work, and poured another cup.

Coffee, Evolved (And So Did I)
But somewhere between running restaurants, launching a real estate career, and living through the rise of the café culture boom—I started to really pay attention. The flavors, the gear, the ritual of it. Coffee went from background noise to something worth slowing down for. It evolved. And so did I.
These days, I’m still chasing a great cup—but with a little more care and a lot more curiosity. Find My Home Brew is where I share that journey. It’s part coffee review, part gear breakdown, part lifestyle ramble—and all rooted in real life. No pretension. No jargon. Just honest opinions from a guy who’s been around the block and still drinks his morning brew with the same enthusiasm he did in the back of a New York coffee shop 20 years ago.

Why This? Why Now?
Let’s face it—coffee got complicated. Machines got smarter, options exploded, and suddenly everyone had an opinion (usually paid for). I wanted to create a space that cuts through the noise. A place for people like you who love good coffee but don’t want to be lectured about water temperature algorithms or bean fermentation unless it actually matters to the taste in your cup.

Coffee has always been part of my life—sometimes by necessity, now more by love.
I’m not a barista, I’m not a tech nerd, and I’m not trying to sell you anything I wouldn’t use myself. I’m just someone who’s spent a lifetime chasing flavor, routine, and a damn good cup.
